The DAT numbers are in for August, and it is a good time to be a trucker. Though the trendline slopes are still downward, that very well can change in the future, as August 2020 marks the fourth month in a row where all three categories of freight have risen from the previous month (Reefer goes even further beyond, where it has been five consecutive months).
It will be interesting to see September results. September is usually not a month for record breaking freight rates, but COVID-19 has changed the landscape of freight rates across the country. All three rates, if they continue their upward trend, may very well break three year records.
